Hi friends! Here I have this card for the Polychromatic class from Altenew Academy. This class was all about playing with colors and I chose to go with the watercoloring with similar colors lesson because I hardly ever make monochromatic looks. I think this was an stunning class that pushes you to go beyond your limits.

For this card I have used Wonderland Stamp set and dies, Pinstripe Stamp Set and Persian Motifs Stamp Set.

Let’s start! I stamped onto watercolor paper some flowers from Wonderland Stamp Set with VersaFine ink and heat embossed them using white embossing powder.

I added color to the flowers using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and using a detailed watercolor brush I blended them out. The markers I used are Light Blue, Turquoise Green and Persian Green as my darkest color.

Once I finished watercoloring I die cut the flowers using the matching dies and set them aside for a while.

Next, to create my background I stamped and white heat embossed some leaves from the Persian Motifs Stamp Set on an A2 panel of Bristol Smooth paper. Then, using the same Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers that I colored the flowers with I scribbled the inks in different parts around the leaves. Immediately, I sprayed water and all the ink started moving and blending. I applied heat using a heat tool and then I added more ink and water. Some splatters of the same ink were added too.

Once my background was dry I adhered a folded note card at the back using glue. Next, I placed my flowers on top using foam tape. Some sequins and Nuvo drops were added too. Finally, I white heat embossed the HELLO sentiment from Pinstripe Stamp Set onto a teal cardstock to continue with this blue/teal colors, I placed it at the bottom of my background using foam tape and this card was finished.

I adored this class! It pushed me to go beyond my limits and I learned great tips and also I found out that when you go out of your comfort zone you can make beautiful things happen. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you like this card. Have a fabulous day!

Your friend, Karen
